DTG T-shirt printing – direct digital print on textiles

DTG T-shirt printing – direct digital print on textiles
DTG (Direct-to-Garment) is a digital printing method where we print your design directly onto the garment. It’s a great choice when you want a soft feel, high detail, smooth gradients, and a premium look—especially for small to mid-size runs, samples, or personalized items. We use DTG for custom T-shirts, hoodies, and selected textiles where comfort and fine detail matter.

When DTG is the best choice
Choose DTG when you need:

  • highly detailed artwork (photos, illustrations, shading, gradients),

  • smaller batches, samples, or quick prototypes,

  • a comfortable print with a natural hand feel.

Key advantages of our DTG printing

  • Soft feel and comfort: DTG prints are typically more “built into” the fabric than transfer-style prints.

  • Excellent detail: ideal for complex designs and multi-color artwork.

  • No unnecessary background: we print the design, not a thick rectangular layer.

  • Great for personalization: names, variants, small edits—without screen setup.

  • Support with file prep: we help you optimize placement and files for a clean result.

DTG vs DTF – which one should you choose?
Because we offer both DTG and DTF, we can recommend what fits your garment and goals:

  • DTG is ideal for premium detail and a soft, natural feel—especially on quality cotton garments.

  • DTF is a versatile solution for a wider range of materials and use cases (mixed fabrics, workwear, sports materials, etc.).
If you’re a printer or need transfers for production, we also produce premium DTF transfers as a separate service (by agreement).

How ordering works

  1. Send us your artwork and requirements (or just the idea—we can help).

  2. We recommend the best technique (DTG/DTF/screen printing) and confirm placement/size.

  3. Production and delivery/collection within the agreed timeline.

File preparation guidelines

  • Logos: vector files (PDF/SVG/AI) are best.

  • Artwork: PNG with transparent background or a high-quality PDF.

  • Raster resolution: ideally 300 dpi at final size.

  • Specify placement (chest/back/sleeve) and required print size.

Care instructions
Wash inside-out, typically at 30–40 °C, avoid harsh bleach, iron inside-out, and follow garment label instructions.

General Questions

DTG works best on quality cotton (or high-cotton blends) when you want a soft feel and high detail. For more challenging fabrics or mixed materials, we often recommend DTF.
DTG is great for small to mid-size runs, samples, and personalization. For very large quantities and simple artwork, screen printing can be more cost-effective—so we advise based on your project.
With correct production and proper care, DTG prints are durable and washable. We recommend washing inside-out at 30–40 °C, avoiding harsh bleach, and ironing inside-out.
Yes. DTG is a digital process, so it reproduces photos, gradients, and fine detail very well.
Yes, we also use DTG on colored shirts. We advise on garment choice, shirt color, and artwork so you get the best contrast and the cleanest result.
Vector files (PDF/SVG/AI) are best for logos. For artwork/photos we recommend PNG with transparency or a high-quality PDF; for raster files aim for 300 dpi at final size.
Both are excellent, just for different use cases. DTG is ideal for maximum softness and detail on cotton. DTF is ideal when you need broader material compatibility and versatility. We recommend the best option for your garment and design.
Lead time depends on quantity, garment type, and file readiness. After approval of placement and artwork (and once garments are confirmed), we provide a clear production and delivery/collection timeline.
