Plastic Ballpoint Pens

Plastic ballpoint pens are a practical choice for everyday notes at work, training sessions and organised events. When selecting a pen, look beyond the barrel design: the way the tip is extended, how the pen feels in your hand and whether you need one or several ink colours all matter.

The models shown include twist-action pens, a non-slip design and versions offering three or four writing colours. If you plan to add a logo, the selected pen's surface, the size of the artwork and the suitable branding method also need to be checked.

Choose a pen to suit the way you write

For quick notes, ease of use is usually the main priority. For frequent writing, pay more attention to the shape, thickness and grip of the pen. A category name alone does not tell you how the tip is extended on a particular model or how it feels in use. Comparing individual designs is therefore more useful than judging appearance alone.

Tip mechanism and grip

The BOOP model is specifically described as having a twist mechanism: turning the barrel extends the tip. MOLLA is described as a non-slip pen, making grip its distinguishing feature. These features address different needs; a twist mechanism does not, by itself, mean that the surface is non-slip.

One writing colour or several

If you want to separate different types of notes using one pen, compare the multicolour OCTUS 4-in-1 and MULTIS 3-in-1. These descriptions refer to four and three ink colours respectively, not to the number of pens in a set. If you use only one colour, a simpler pen may be entirely suitable.

What the barrel material tells you

Plastic describes the basic product group, not every feature of an individual ballpoint pen. Shape, surface finish, mechanism and grip may differ. The KIWU model, for example, is specifically identified as being made from ABS; that detail cannot automatically be applied to all pens in the category. If the exact plastic type matters to your order, check the selected product.

If you are comparing materials, you can also explore metal ballpoint pens. Consider the intended use, how a pen feels in the hand and the space available for artwork. The barrel material alone does not determine writing quality or the lifespan of the whole pen.

Planning logo branding and your order

With a promotional pen, artwork needs to remain legible on the actual surface. Narrow or curved areas may limit the size and placement of a design, so a clear logo without unnecessarily fine details is a sensible starting point. At Gajcom, the appropriate personalisation method is selected according to the product, material, artwork, quantity and desired appearance. Not every method suits every pen.

To agree on a specific version, provide the model, intended quantity, preferred branding position and artwork file. A graphic preview may also be part of the preparation where needed. The final branding options, scope and order conditions are confirmed in the quotation or order confirmation.

Frequently asked questions

Can the refills in plastic ballpoint pens be replaced?

Not necessarily in every model. Refill replacement depends on the construction of the specific pen, not simply on its plastic barrel. If you want to use the pens over a longer period and replace the ink refill, check this feature before choosing.

Does the barrel colour also determine the ink colour?

No. The outer colour and the writing colour are separate specifications. Check the stated ink colour, or colours on a multicolour pen, before ordering, especially if your forms or internal documents require a particular ink colour.

Can we order several barrel colours together?

That depends on the variants and availability of the chosen model and on confirmation of the specific order. If you want a mix of colours, state the preferred colours and quantity of each in your enquiry so feasibility can be checked.
