Fountain pen

A fountain pen is suited to signing documents, longer notes or a business gift where grip, nib and ink supply matter. Models differ in barrel shape, materials and presentation packaging.

When comparing pens, check nib width, ink colour and refill system. A fine nib may suit smaller handwriting, but the way a person holds the pen and their preferences also affect the choice.

Nib, ink and fountain pen design

The Waterman Hemisphere 107934 has a fine nib, blue ink and palladium-coloured trim, and comes in a gift box. Compare it with other pens by line width and how the barrel feels in the hand.

The Parker Urban 107020 has a distinctive curved barrel and comes with one cartridge. If several people may use the pen, consider the filling system and how easily cartridges can be changed on the selected model.

Gift presentation and choosing a model

The Waterman Graduate includes a gift box and cartridge, while the Parker Jotter 107420 has a stainless-steel barrel and a stated fine 0.5 mm nib. For other writing instruments, browse pens and office supplies.

For a corporate gift, decide whether a classic shape, ink type or discreet logo matters most. Branding is not automatically suitable for every surface; send an enquiry about the particular pen and artwork.

Frequently asked questions

Do all fountain pens use the same ink colour?

Do not assume that a whole category shares one ink colour. Blue ink is stated for the Hemisphere and Parker Urban versions mentioned here; check the selected pen and cartridge specifications.

Can a fountain pen be filled from an ink bottle?

That depends on its filling system. The Parker IM 107760 is described as compatible with QUINK ink or filling from a bottle; for other models, check their intended cartridges and accessories.

Does every fountain pen come in a gift box?

Do not assume the packaging is identical. A gift box is explicitly specified for the Waterman Hemisphere, Waterman Graduate and Parker Jotter 107420; check the product details for other models.
