Organic cotton bags can be used for corporate gifts, printed materials and everyday carrying. Compare capacity, base shape and handle length when choosing: bags of similar dimensions may differ in how comfortably they hold your items.
Fabric weight also matters. It indicates the mass of the material per square metre, not the maximum load the bag can carry. Start with the size and shape of the contents.

Capacity and shape for different contents
The Westford Mill W180 is made from 170 g/m² organic cotton, holds 16 litres and has 58 cm handles. Its 32 × 35 × 12 cm dimensions also let you compare the width of the base.
The W261 has 200 g/m² fabric and a 10-litre capacity, while the W690 uses 340 g/m² fabric and holds 19 litres. Heavier fabric does not automatically mean a larger bag. Check both measurements for folders, boxes or textiles.
Material, carrying and further choices
The wider bags range includes different constructions. The W150 is an organic cotton mesh bag, while the W850 has a wooden closure. Mesh works when the contents need not be concealed, but is less suited to very small items.
For a business order, consider the area available for any artwork as well as bag size. Branding suitability depends on the specific item and design; send an enquiry with your intended quantity to discuss the choice.
Frequently asked questions
Are organic and recycled cotton the same?
No. Organic describes how the cotton fibre is grown; recycled refers to fibre recovered from textile waste or used material. Check the stated composition of each bag. Neither term establishes the other.
Can every cotton bag be machine washed?
No. Check the label and care instructions for the selected bag. Organic cotton alone does not establish a washing temperature or method. Also consider the colour, any print and the construction of the item.
Which matters more: capacity or outer dimensions?
Capacity helps estimate how much a bag holds; dimensions tell you whether an item of a particular shape will fit. For gift boxes, also check the base, opening and handles.
