Cotton Drawstring Pouches and Gift-Ribbon Bags

Cotton pouches provide a straightforward way to pack small items, gifts and textile accessories. Actual dimensions, closure style and fabric matter more than the size label alone.

The models differ in opening size, drawcords and decorative ribbons. If you are assembling matching gift packs, begin by measuring the contents and deciding how the pouch should close.

Drawcord, organic cotton or gift ribbon

The Westford Mill W115 is a 100% cotton drawcord pouch offered in six sizes from 0.25 to 38 litres. The Westford Mill W118 uses organic cotton and a drawstring closure, with four sizes ranging from 0.25 to 8 litres. They differ in both material description and available dimensions.

The W121 has a broad ribbon instead of a standard-looking cord, making it a useful option when gift presentation matters. It comes in three sizes.

Sizing a pouch for its contents

Measure the widest part of the item, not just its height. A box or other rigid object may be difficult to insert if the pouch opening is narrow. For other packing formats, browse bags and pouches. Check the care instructions for the exact cotton model selected.

Send an enquiry to discuss branding and quantities; suitability depends on the fabric and artwork.

Frequently asked questions

When is a broad gift ribbon the better choice?

The wide ribbon on the W121 creates a decorative closure with a different appearance from an ordinary drawcord. It is worth considering when the way a gift is tied is part of its presentation.

Is every cotton pouch made from organic cotton?

No. The W115 is described as cotton, while organic cotton is specifically stated for the W118. Check the composition of each selected pouch rather than assuming they are identical.

Is capacity in litres enough to choose a size?

No. Capacity helps comparison, but the item shape and width determine whether it will pass through the opening. Check the centimetre measurements for the chosen size before ordering.
